Dr. Carly Njaa is a Chiropractor, who received her education from Northwestern Health Sciences University graduating Summa Cum Laude with Sports Emphasis. While pursuing her Chiropractic education, she improved her knowledge and hands-on skills by taking extra classes, seminars, and internships that focused on chiropractic care for athletes, prenatal and postpartum mothers, infants, and toddlers.

Prior to her Chiropractic education, Dr. Carly attended the University of Saskatchewan and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology, graduating with Great Distinction. While at the U of S, she became involved in the student trainer program, which is a volunteer program that allowed students to have a hands-on opportunity to learn about the prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation of sports related injuries. Her degree in Kinesiology, combined with this experience, piqued her interest in providing manual therapy in combination with education about health and wellness.

Growing up, Dr. Carly spent much of her time around sports and physical activity as she believes that physical activity is a process, and it is one of the most important things you can do for your health. Personally, she has devoted much of her life to Ukrainian dancing – which led her to performing all over the province of Saskatchewan, as well as internationally across the United States, Costa Rica, and Ukraine. Nowadays, she finds herself instructing Ukrainian dance, exercising at CrossFit Ashlar, taking part in classes at Modo Yoga Saskatoon, and walking the various trails around the Saskatchewan River.

Since beginning her Chiropractic practice, Dr. Carly has found a passion for treating the whole family! She is a firm believer that as her patients grow and develop through each stage in their life, they need a specific patient-centered approach designed to diagnose, treat, and prevent their neuromusculoskeletal conditions. From infants and toddlers to young adolescents, from prenatal to postpartum mothers, or from weekend warriors to gracefully aging individuals, Dr. Carly is committed to assisting her patients in improving their overall quality of life and achieving their own individual healthcare goals!

Cara Riendeau is a clinical counsellor who has a bachelor of social work from the University of Regina and is registered with the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers. She has worked with the Saskatchewan Health Authority for 12 years, working in diverse roles as a case manager, addictions counsellor, clinical counsellor and senior lead working with marginalized populations in the Saskatoon core. Cara has also completed a 200 hour Sivananda yoga teacher training in 2017, 85 hour prenatal yoga teacher training in 2018 and Advanced II Somatic Experiencing Practitioner training in 2022.

Cara’s personal journey towards health and wellness took her deep into the realm of alternative and eastern modalities in the 2010’s and was brought back to western medicine to support her postpartum journey in 2021. After an amazing home birth with a midwife in 2019, her daughter had minor health challenges that presented as colic and difficulty sleeping. After 18 months of not sleeping much at all, Cara experienced postpartum anxiety that affected her ability to fully experience life. Cara’s authenticity and willingness to share her own story levels the traditional hierarchy often felt between therapist and client. Cara specializes in working with adult women to support them with generalized anxiety, depression, panic, and PTSD. Clients often present to Cara following a traumatic event; difficult pregnancy, birth, or postpartum period; or after an autoimmune disease diagnosis. Cara’s integration of Somatic therapy is helpful for clients who have seen therapists focussed on cognitive therapy and have “done the work” yet continue to struggle with their mental health.

Cara is an approved NIHB (Non-Insured Health Benefits) Mental Health Counselling Provider. Indigenous Canadians who are registered under the Indian Act are eligible for up to 20 sessions with Cara, billed directly to NIHB.
